TCF-Maintenance Manager

This position will be responsible for leading maintenance and reliability systems.  Serve as the direct manager to the entire maintenance team. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager at this location will be responsible for supervising and developing the maintenance team. This position is a key member of the TCF leadership team will report to the Plant Manager.


·       Assure the safety of the maintenance team, contractors on site, and all those that maintenance impacts

·       Lead the maintenance department

·       Develop, manage, and direct all maintenance procedures and operations

·       Assess and develop maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency

·       Create and manage maintenance reliability plan (preventative maintenance)

·       Support development of budget and assure compliance to department operating budget, report variances to budget and corrective actions

·       Responsible for managing capital projects

·       Responsible for carrying out and overseeing implementation of all projects coordinated with Teijin corporate engineering and sub-contracted engineering firms for project execution

·       Create a work environment with safety as the highest priority

·       Ensure compliance with all ESH requirements in Maintenance department

·       Serve as the Maintenance Contractor Administrator & manage all external maintenance contractors

·       Train new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures

·       Support Job Apprenticeship program for Mechatronics

·       Responsible for specification of technical equipment and materials

·       Coordinate with Utility Island maintenance team so work is seamless both directions

·       Plan and implement plans for maintenance and repairs of the production facilities, including laboratories and administrative areas to ensure effective operation

·       Responsible for calibration of measuring instruments in cooperation with external service providers and in coordination with quality assurance

Qualifications & Skills:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

·       7+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing maintenance facility

·       Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems

·       Experience working with an international, culturally diverse team is preferred

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines

·       Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
