We are seeking a Senior Accountant for the Finance Department at our Corporate Office in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Summary:
Due to growth and international expansion CSP, this newly created role will help support corporate accounting function. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, and analytical. The Senior Accountant will need to be able to manage day-to-day task with ability to take on special projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Post journal entries for related to inter-company activity, accruals, reserves, tooling, cash and investments.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and related schedules.
Maintain the company’s fixed asset register.
Assist with preparation of financial statements.
Performs analysis of balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.
Research technical accounting and assist with development of polices in implementation.
Recommends modifications to existing corporate accounting disciplines and programs.
Work cross-functionally with (IT, Purchasing, Sales etc.) to implement system enhancements and to improve processes and create efficiencies.
Interact with external auditors by providing supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audit.
Support special projects such as launch of new ERP, business combinations, and inter-company eliminations.
Ad Hoc reporting for Operations and Controller.
Contributes to corporate accounting team by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
CPA Designation.
Public accounting experience.
At least three years of accounting experience at large regional or national public accounting firm with mix of manufacturing experience preferably in the automotive industry.
Travel, including overnight travel will be required.
