We are seeking a Quality Technician for our Salisbury, NC Plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Fast Response Boards are current and up to date

  • Work with all departments to prevent recurring non-conformances

  • Support, coordinate and participate in manufacturing process audits and layered audits

  • Update APQP documentation 

  • Post and maintain Quality Alerts

  • Perform daily LPA/Control Plan audits

  • Validate daily production start-up processes are followed

  • Ensure production is compliant with specifications and customer requirements throughout the shift

  • Perform First Piece Inspections and Product audits

  • Measure and validate parts on off-shifts as needed

  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Associates’ degree Engineering or a related field is preferred (Five years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree).

  • At least five (5) years automotive/quality experience required

  • Knowledge of PPAP / Submission process systems or equivalent is required

  • Blue print reading and GD&T is required

  • Working knowledge of ISO/TS-16949 is required

  • Must be able to read and write English sufficiently enough to fully understand safety policies, work instructions, chemical warning labels, etc.

  • Good math skills, mechanical and computer ability is required.

  • Ability to use rulers, scales and other physical measuring instruments.

  • Flexibility to perform several job duties and work at a quick pace.

  • Must be able to understand information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales and visual display units.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking / standing for minimum of 8 hours per day.

  • Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.

  • Bending, stooping and carrying.

  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or alternate shifts as required.
