Job Title:            Packing & Rewind Coordinator


Job Summary:   This position will be responsible for creating and issuing the finite daily schedules for the Packing/Inspection and Rewinding Lines. This role will utilize the MES system that is capturing the finite bobbin inventory, which must be then sorted into finite charge numbers by bobbin and then creates the daily packing orders and the daily rewind orders. This person will ensure that every bobbin off the winders, rejected bobbins from the packing line, and bobbins from the rewind line are assigned a charge number and assigned to the production orders for the Packing and the Rewind Lines. The Coordinator will be responsible for closing the production orders when verified they are completed daily. When the packing line is shut down all production orders must be re-sent since the MES system must utilize the current bobbin status at the time the production orders are issued. Additionally, this role will provide information to create Key Metric tracking of the Packing and Rewind areas. This position will report to the Production Manager.

  • Supports ESH compliance for self and coworkers
  • Breaks down master production schedule into finite Packing and Rewind orders
  • Assigns every bobbin to correct Charge Number
  • Creates Packaging orders and assign each Bobbin to the correct Packing or Rewind order by Charge Number
  • MES system not interfaced with Packing Line so must validate inventory and assign bobbins to production order daily
  • Assures compliance of ERP accuracy of WIP and Finished good inventory
  • Works 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts and coordinates with Team Leaders to assure Packing and Rewind orders are available for 7-day operation
  • Provides information to create Key Metric tracking of the Packing and Rewind areas
  • Keep Bill of Materials and Routings current for Packing and Rewinding operations
  • Ensure any finished product, packaging materials that are scrapped are accounted for in the system for MRP planning and Financial write off
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Associate’s Degree Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field Preferred
  • 2 years manufacturing experience Preferred
  • Hands on experience with MES, MRP and/or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of production planning and inventory control
  • Displays strong aptitude for teamwork and communication
  • Meet physical requirements of the job including: standing, walking, bending over, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Demonstrated safety knowledge and performance
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with an international, culturally diverse team is preferred
