We are seeking a Manager of Health and Safety for our Corporate Office in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Position Summary: 
Lead the health and safety programs for CSP including plants in both US and international facilities. Develops, implements, and manages health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for health and safety compliance and requirements for all CSP facilities. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct Annual Health and Safety Peer Review (audit) for all applicable CSP facilities. 

  • Conduct an Annual Health and Safety related Training for applicable employees at the CSP plants based on various OSHA requirements.

  • Oversee in-plant Air Testing for all applicable CSP facilities on employees. 

  • Oversees Emergency Response Plan for CSP facilities

  • Work with state/ federal OSHA to resolve Health and Safety related issues.

  • Assist CSP facilities for any health & Safety related issues.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a related field of study.  Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health & safety laws to ensure the organization’s compliance with all regulations.

  • Minimum of ten years of Health, Safety, and Environmental experience, preferably in a Manufacturing (Molding/Assembly/Painting) facility.

  • Demonstrated strength with analytical/problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.

  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Industrial Ergonomics.

  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Supervisory/manager experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Frequent travel, including overnight, is required.

  • Occasional exposure to noise, fumes, process temperatures and chemicals, and moving equipment in a manufacturing environment.
