We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Responsible for housekeeping and 5-S in the maintenance areas. 

  • Serve as a member of the safety committee.

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the PM program.

  • Provide support and direction all facilities and maintenance operations.

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of hydraulic, mechanical systems, electronic and electrical systems, industrial wiring, industrial power distributions, motors and motor control systems

  • Support the Maintenance Area Manager with customers, outside regulatory representatives, state and local agencies, contractors, representatives of equipment and support services. Apply skill and ability to successfully support achievement of company objectives and goals.

  • Support existing environmental management programs to maintain compliance with state and federal environmental regulations such as RCRA and SPCC.

  • Provide leadership in support of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and comply. 

  • Lead and maintain a well-motivated team including training, supporting and developing each team member to maximize output and results. Support use of on-line and on-the-job exposure to develop and strengthen technical bench strength and a progression path for technicians, helpers, and support personnel.  Communicate training requirements and ensure training is documented upon completion.

  • Assist manager in determining manning needs and administer scheduling of department activities.

  • Maintain daily processing of routine schedules and hours to ensure payroll is accurate and timely and shift coverage meets department budget and priority goals.

  • Keep abreast of maintenance related material through trade publications, papers, seminars, and classes.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, State, Federal laws and statutes including labor laws and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to your department.  

  • Support department operating guidelines and policies.

  • Support IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives.

  • Support department goals that support company strategic plan.

  • Review and recommend and/or revise standard operating and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Monitor and assist manager with associated costs of maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

  • Utilizes technicians to maintain and repair molds/fixtures/equipment to minimize downtime.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree is preferred or at least an Associate’s degree is required.

  • Eight years of experience in maintenance and at least three years in a supervisory role.
