We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

Summary: Responsible for overseeing entire maintenance department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for making sure all safe working practices are followed by all maintenance department employees and contractors that are working in the facility under the direction of the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and 5-S in the maintenance areas. 
  • Establish safety guidelines and standards for each piece of equipment and machinery.
  • Serve as a member of the safety committee.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor PM program for all CSP and customer owned tooling and equipment.
  • Manage all facilities and maintenance operations.
  • Support existing environmental management programs to maintain compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.  I.e. RCRA, SPCC, etc.
  • Participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and comply. 
  • Establish and maintain a well-motivated team including training, supporting and developing each team member to maximize output and results.
  • Determine manning needs and schedule department activities with the maintenance supervisor.
  • Keep abreast of maintenance related material through trade publications, papers, seminars, and classes.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, State, Federal laws and statutes including labor laws and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to your department.  
  • Establish department goals that support company strategic plan.
  • Provide department operating guidelines and policies.
  • Support IATF and ISO14001 initiatives.
  • Establish and manage department training requirements and ensure training is documented upon completion.
  • Plan for continual improvement in facility utilization, equipment reliability, and plant safety and loss prevention.
  • Establish and prepare maintenance operating budget.
  • Establish and prepare plant capital projects for each fiscal year. Track all capital spending and report out the status to management as requested.
  • Conduct weekly communications meeting with reporting associates.  Ensure open and continuous communication with associates.
  • Support and enforce the use of the Functional Organization, and enforce the use of applicable operating policies and procedures.
  • Plan department operations and establish priorities based on strategic goal/plan.
  • Develop and/or revise standard operating and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Monitor cost of maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a credited college, university or technical school.
  • At least eight years of experience with five years related experience and/or training in engineering or maintenance of which three years are in management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
