We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist II for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

Position Summary: 
The HR Generalist II reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for assisting the HR Manager in all activity and labor relations. This position is responsible to assist in ensuring all personnel functions and programs are operating effectively and supports the training and strategic initiatives of the plant and department.    

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Assist HR Manager with day-to-day activities including: 

  • Supports compliance with all local, State and Federal laws and statutes including labor laws and other governmental regulations applicable to the Company, providing timely reporting, information, and recommendations to the HR Manager.

  • Responsible to support salaried and hourly staffing, tracking, and fulfillment including: recruitment, review of applications, conducting interviews, selection, and related hiring processes. Conducts timely and effective salaried and hourly on-boarding. Provides support of all payroll processes and record keeping activities.   

  • Responsible to implement and coordinate the plant training matrix, which includes:  job descriptions, tracking and coordination of all training and development initiatives, activities, and support personnel. Provides guidance, coaching, and development to supervisors, team leaders, mentors, trainers, and others. Promotes understanding of growth and career paths for all associates.  

  • Supports management in appropriate resolution of issues and communicate effectively and professionally with all associates. Supports plant leadership and effective motivation of others.

  • Supports all engagement and retention programs, appraisals, corrective actions, and administration of various HR programs, policies, handbook, and procedures. Provides recommendations and guidance with management and associates.

  • Supports HR Manager with preparing presentation and materials for employee meeting communications, benefits and enrollment activities, safety, and IATF16949 and ISO14001 related auditing and initiatives.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Human Resources Management is recommended.

  • At least three years of HR Generalist experience.

  • Work experience in manufacturing environment is strongly desired.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.

  • Ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships.

  • Excellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws. 

  • Knowledge of benefits and compensation administration.

  • Proficient computer skills and experience in Microsoft office required.
