We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for our North Baltimore, Ohio Plant.

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between the customer and the plant, to relay requirements and ship out finished product in an efficient and timely manner so customer satisfaction is received. This position reports to the Materials Manager. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies; inventory control activities, and shipping/receiving by performing the following duties personally or through other associates. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and communicate through various channels via telephone, email, online, or in person to provide support and information on an assigned product or service.

  • Review customer releases and shipping schedules to establish production priorities and produce/update and communicate manufacturing schedules and deadlines with internal customers and suppliers daily. 

  • Maintain customer systems.

  • Process orders, releases, and requests. 

  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure an adequate amount of dunnage and containers are available to support the manufacturing activities. 

  • Manage all customer release and inventory systems such as CUM ship quantities and electronic communications, example Ford DDL systems or GM equivalent. 

  • Schedule trucks in and out of freight. 

  • Set up new parts in QAD/Submit ECN for new product. 

  • Update paint shop/shortage report daily. 

  • Send EDI/ASN.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional supplier relationships. 

  • Responsible for housekeeping and 5-S.

  • Support TS16949 and ISO14001.

  • Ensure on-time deliveries with suppliers by providing accurate and timely releases. 

  • Maintain contact with customer, supplier, Materials Manager/Scheduler to ensure expectations are met and positive relations are maintained.

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times.

  • Prompt escalation of issues/concerns.

  • Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor or Associate’s degree is preferred.

  • Customer service experience required.

  • Some experience with the product or service to which the specialist will be assigned preferred.

  • Experience with Ford and GM portals is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in verbal and written format.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization.

  • Proficient in MS Office programs, ability to adapt to new software programs.
