We are seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

Position Summary:
Provide support to the Plant Manager in the scheduling and planning of mid and short term operations and other plant activities. This role supervises, manages and directs in the selection, training, development, and performance evaluations of all employees. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Complies with all safety, environmental policies, procedures and established safe practices.  Reports all unsafe conditions and actions to Plant Manager and/or the EH&S Manager.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental, plant and/or company goals.
  • Ensures departmental records retention and destruction needs remain compliant.
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Supervises, manages, provides direct training initiatives and work assignments employees.
  • Prioritizes, organizes, and delegates assignments.
  • Assists in overseeing that production and processing meet customer and CSP production requirements.
  • Reports and drives to resolve performance deficiencies, problems, schedule changes, etc. to the Plant Manager. Maintains on-going communication with the Plant Manager regarding status of critical quality, production, projects, and day to day operations, as required.
  • Ability to understand and personally evaluate the potential effective capacities of the plant equipment and make recommendations and adjustments to achieve monthly along with annual customer / CSP production goals.
  • Assists with leading new program(s) and facility investments from design through post commissioning and/or PPAP.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required with a preference in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant managerial experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability of proficiency in Microsoft Office, record keeping, routine database activity, spreadsheets preparation and ability to review income statements along with budget/forecast development.
